Nowruz (or Norooz) marks the arrival of the new year and the first day of spring. It is an ancient tradition rooted in renewal, reflection, and hope. It is celebrated in many countries, including Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan.
During these difficult and uncertain times, we recognize that many in our community may be carrying complex emotions. With that in mind, this event will be a space for thoughtful gathering- an opportunity to come together through art, cultural expression, and shared presence. We will host an art exhibition intended as a community-centered event to honor tradition, resilience, and connection in a meaningful and respectful way.
Venue: Mission Hall Lobby
Date: Thursday, March 19, 2026 (4:30-7:30 PM)
Organized by the Woman Life Freedom Group at UCSF and the UCSF Pediatrics RISE Coalition.
